What was it out there that brought you here?
Was it a road hard travelled that led to fear?
Can Gods light penetrate through this darkness?
Is there truly hope for the hopeless?
Will our spirits be replenished?
Will the depression subside, diminished?
Are we here to learn how to cope?
Will I rise each morning with new hope?
Do I leave here with a future intact?
Will my days to come be more than an act?
I know while I'm here, this I will pray
When it's time to go I'll know a brighter day
And my future I will take hold
I will have courage, and I'll be bold
With new skills my burdens will lift
This I will treasure as a priceless gift
