My mother was standing beside the old highway
Eating a big red apple one sunny day
Her brother waved his hand as he passed by
I could see the twinkle in moms right eye
Then mother turns and slowly bends down
Places three seeds in the rich fertile ground
And then said to me I've done my best
It's up to mother nature to do the rest
The seeds were forgotten the days passed by
And I could see old age in mother's eyes
What she didn't know by the grace of her hands
The seeds had sprouted and a tree now stands
Now each time I visit the old home place
It seems that I can see my mother's face
As my life passes by at a rapid speed
I recall a beautiful woman and three apple seeds
